In early 2006 SCE Stone & Design introduced a waterjet cutting service and as of this date still one of the relatively small number of stone fabricators known to have ever incorporated this technology into their manufacturing operation.
This process allows for the cutting of almost any type of material using a controlled stream of water. Having access to such highly accurate profile cutting methodology allows SCE to create complex inlays and cutouts in stone and other materials that are not normally economic or physically possible using conventional production processes.
Further to our own requirements SCE are happy to make this service available on a contract basis to other parties with a requirement for a fast, effective and highly accurate cutting of materials i.e.
